Community rules
Draft pending legal review: this text describes how the demonstration works today and may change.
What is never allowed on PetMeUp, and how reports are handled.
Never allowed
Anything involving minors; intimate content shared without consent; trafficking, coercion or exploitation; hidden cameras; threats, harassment or sharing someone’s private information; impersonation; copyright infringement; scams; and any other unlawful content or activity.
Companion profiles may not offer, request, price or hint at sexual services, and meetings may only be proposed in public venues.
Reporting
Use Report on a profile and choose the reason that fits. Anyone can report illegal content, even without an account, by giving a name and email address so we can confirm the report and tell them the outcome; reports about child safety may be anonymous. Signed-in people can also report other breaches of these rules. Reports about child safety, non-consensual content, trafficking or coercion, or immediate danger hide the profile from search at once until staff review it. If someone is in danger, contact the emergency services on 112.
Decisions and appeals
Staff decide each report independently and write down their reasons. They may suspend a profile, and for serious or repeated breaches an administrator may ban the whole account for a set time or permanently. The person affected receives the reasons by email, and whoever reported receives the outcome. A decision can be appealed once within 10 business days; an administrator who did not make it decides the appeal within 10 business days. You may also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts.
PetMeUp is meant to be a safe space for both sides. While a report, dispute or appeal is open, the accounts and records involved are kept, even if deletion is requested, so the case can be resolved fairly. We cooperate with the person affected and with police, courts and other competent authorities, and comply with lawful requests.
